Rude Parrot Productions currently working on two documentary projects.

Project Alpha is a documentary short (estimated 30 min. runtime) involving Vietnam Veterans and their outlook on the direction American society has taken since they returned from that conflict and their commentary on the current state of our union. (Currently in Pre-Production)

Project Bravo is a documentary project will examine the reflections of a retired school teacher over his almost twenty years in the classroom and his look into the outcomes for those he taught and to what degree they benefitted from or were hindered by their experience with the educational system in Texas. (Currently in Development)

In 2011, I had just completed a film production seminar and I was at one of my favorite watering holes on Galveston Bay one afternoon contemplating a name for the production company I was forming. A waitress who worked at this bar had rescued a juvenile Monk Parrot and its was a very vocal creature. It wanted your attention COMPLETELY…100%!

Since Jimmy Buffett was playing on the jukebox and I was a confirmed Parrothead since 1976, the name Rude Parrot just made sense!

Then, like John Lennon said “Life is what happens when your busy making other plans”!

Life intervened and I had to delay my goal of documentary film production.

In 2023, life again intervened and told me the time was now or never to chase my dream once more…and Rude Parent Productions is now alive and active again!
